Treat of the week – Osmo Pocket Accessories

I must admit, I have a bit of an Amazon addiction.  I have been fighting it for some time now, but I thought if I can’t beat it, then let’s make a video about it and embrace my addiction.  I find all sorts of weird and wonderful gadgets that make life just that little bit easier on the trail when out backpacking.

I purchased an Osmo Pocket Gimbal as a Christmas present to myself and since then I have been using it on all of my backpacking trips and Adventure Geek walks.  It is a good vlogging tool, but I mainly use it for B-roll.  This week, I purchased a new selfie stick, which I can add a tripod and has an Osmo Pocket Mount on the top.  I can get shots that look like a drone flying (even though I also have a DJI Spark Drone!) – but this is much easier and quicker to use.

In the video, I also show you my Osmo pocket backpacking clip and my iPhone holster for quick vlogging access on the trail.

Treat of the week – SD Card Holder

When you are on a long distance trail and vlogging as you go, it can get confusing as to which video is for which day.  I like to use one sd card in my Osmo pocket (and drone) per day.  I then label them accordingly so that the footage does not get mixed up.  This week, I ordered a lightweight SD card holder.  It is dinky and fits in my wallet (or pocket in my journal), and will hold up to 8 SD cards.  I can label the holder for each day which certainly makes life easier.
