Weekend Itinerary:
Friday – Welcoming Night
- Meet and Greet: Join us in the heart of Dolgellau for an evening get-together. Settle in, meet your fellow walkers, and prepare for a thrilling weekend ahead over casual refreshments. It's the perfect way to start your walking adventure. We will point you in the right direction for the best places to pick up a packed lunch on Saturday morning.
- Time: 5 PM
- Location: Central Dolgellau
Saturday
- Waterfall Walk: We gather for an exciting day of exploration. This scenic 10-12 km bespoke circular walk will guide you alongside the rivers Gamlan, and Gain and witness the cascading beauty of Pistyll Cain and other impressive waterfalls and abandoned gold mines.
- Start Time: 9:45 AM
- Location: Ganllwyd
- Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature's soundtrack of rushing water.
- Reflection Evening: After a day of discovery, we'll reconvene at the Royal Ship for a hearty evening meal and share our favourite moments of the day.
- Evening Meetup: 7 PM at The Royal Ship, Dolgellau
Sunday – Precipice Walk and optional peak.
- Start Time: 10.00 AM
- Location: Carpark
- Precipice Walk: The adventure continues with a serene morning start at 10 AM. Traverse The Precipice Walk with stunning vistas, culminating in the optional climb of Foel Offrwn for stunning views and the old age hill fort on the summit.
- Foel Offrwn Summit: For that extra buzz ascend to 405 meters for rewarding 360-degree stunning views of the Rhinogs, Rhobell Fawr, the Arans, Y Garn and of course the mighty Cader Idris a sight that's truly worth the additional effort.
- Duration: We expect to return 3 PM where everyone will gather to reflect on the weekend's and explore Dolgellau further.
