Diet & Fitness Explained

A few weeks ago I visited the opticians for an eye test who mentioned to me that they could see that I have high cholesterol. How they know that by just looking at my eyes I’ll never know, but it did give me a kick up the rear end to sort out my diet.  I’m a bit fan of William Porter’s style of writing.  He is a no-quibble, say-it-as-it-is, type of chap (ex-military).  After reading his book “Alcohol Explained” I have not had a drink in months, and do not want a drink either. I had high hopes for the diet and fitness book and it hasn’t disappointed me.

Ever wished you could eat whatever fast food you liked, take no exercise, and be slim and healthy? Well, you can’t. But you can do the next best thing, which is to enjoy healthy food even more than you enjoy fast food, and enjoy exercising even more than you enjoy sitting on the sofa. Diet and Fitness Explained is the book that gets under the skin of our eating habits and provides a simple, easy-to-understand guide to the entire riddle of diet and fitness.
