YARDLEY GOBION DOVECOTE WALK | APPROX 4 MILES | MODERATE| NORTHANTS

February 29 @ 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm GMT

Open fields, hidden lakes, a gorgeous dinky church with a dovecote where we will stop for sweets, and perhaps a drink in the pub!

🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾

Starting from the pub car park we will weave our way through the village of Yardley Gobion before heading out over open countryside. The church and Dovecote are cool places to stop for our sweets break, before looping back (dodging the little otter electric fence) to the start.

🗣 WALK LEADERS: Julia Doherty

Please arrive by 6.15 pm we will set off at 6.30 pm sharp. If this is your first walk then please seek out the walk leader who will be wearing a red walk leader badge.

🐶 Is this a dog-friendly walk? yes

❓ ROUND-ROBIN QUESTION: Do you know anyone that was born on 29th February?

☕️ REFRESHMENTS: Coffee Pot Tavern for a drink.

Note: we often meet in places where there is no postcode, so we encourage you to use the What3Words app which will take you to the exact location.

  • We will only ever walk in groups of 15 or less. If we have more than 15, we will have two walk leaders and walk in opposite directions.
  • Sweets at the halfway stage – we call this “squidge and dip” – hand sanitiser, then dip in for your free sweets. If we have furry friends, then we also have “treats” at the halfway stage.
