October 17, 2019 @ 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm BST

Note, please arrive by 6.15pm, we will set off at 6.30pm sharp

MEETING PLACE: Short Stay Car Park, Northampton Road, Towcester.  (Look for the lady in the yellow hi-vis vest to check-in)

If we have over 15 people then we will split the groups into fast/regular paced.

FAST GROUP WALK LEADER: Rachel Mumford (approx 4.5 miles)

REGULAR GROUP WALK LEADER: Rhianne Connor (approx 3 miles)

ABOUT THE WALK – grade:  Moderate Route

This is a nice walk to complete in the dark evenings, although we will insist on torches and hi-vis vests for safety reasons.  Both walks will complete include various parks within Towcester, we climb a mini-mountain and find a hidden thatched cottage in an unusual place.  There is an element of off-road and through a field (be aware of rabit holes), but in general, the terrain is flat and well paved.

  • A good torch (no head torches please as they tend to blind people!)

  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).

  • Hi-vis vests are now back.  Please make sure you have a reflective jacket /vest/armband (essential on all winter hikes).  If you don't have one, then we have plenty of spares that you can borrow for the evening.

  • A drink and snacks.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No.  Just bring yourself and then tell the organisers your name when you arrive.  We will then check you in.
