ABOUT THE WALK – grade: Moderate
This is a gentle and slow-paced walk which takes you through a wooded area, over stiles and fields (often with sheep). We walk through the quaint village of Hulcote and cross a beautiful ford. This walk is a mix of terrain, from open fields to a gravel track and the tail end of the walk takes you on a tarmac path. There are no steep hills to climb but your muscles will still get a workout as we have a few stiles to climb.
Note: The farmer has boarded up the dog passes alongside a few of the stiles, so if you are bringing your furry friend then please be aware that you may need to lift your dog.
AFTER THE EVENT
For those of you who are interested, we will probably grab a drink at the Saracens Head at the end of the walk. Everyone is welcome to join us.
WHAT DO I BRING WITH ME?
- Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).
- Shorts are fine on this walk if you are brave enough!
- It's 4.5 miles, so please bring a bottle of water (sweets are provided at the halfway point)
- Money for a drink in the pub afterwards (Not essential, but we welcome everyone to join us).
THE LAST TIME WE WALKED THE TOWCESTER LOOP
We often take videos and photos along the route and produce a lovely memory which is showcased on YouTube and Facebook. Below is the video from the last time we walked this trail.
