Julia and Rachel are this week's walk leaders

WALK LEADERS:  Julia & Rachel.

Watermill Lane Car Park, Wolverton, Milton Keynes MK12 5NZ – (or you can park at the Pub next door  (Wolverton House (Stonehouse Pub) Stratford Road) and walk round to the car park) – we most likely go to the pub afterwards for a drink and perhaps a stonebaked pizza.

We are all feeling rather Christmassy, and this walk will certainly get you in the mood for the following week. Not only do we encourage you to wear something “Christmassy” but we will walk through the delightful village of Stony Stratford and admire their wonderful lights.  We are hoping to see lots of canal boats that have also been decorated, but there are no guarantees.

Starting from Watermill Lane Car Park (no charge), we will walk along the Ouse Valley Trail heading towards the town of Stony Stratford.  We walk along the tow-path for a good distance before heading back through the town and straight down the high street to soak up the Christmas atmosphere.  There is no time for last minute Christmas shopping as we head out of town and make our way back to the car park.

  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).
  • Torch – please try to avoid a head torch as we tend to blind each other when chatting.  I suggest a chest torch or a hand torch.
  • It's just over 3 miles, so please bring a bottle of water
  • Money for a drink in the pub afterwards
