LONG BUCKBY EVENING WALK | 3.6 MILES | EASY | NORTHANTS

January 22 @ 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm GMT

A pleasant evening walk that includes a few fields, but mainly paved paths through the unseen areas of Long Buckby.

🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾

This is a lovely morning walk and should be relatively mud free. Join us as we set out early and watch the sun come up over Northamptonshire Countryside. We will weave through the church, and explore areas of Long Buckby that you may not have known about. You will discover lots of little hidden footpaths before we finally emerge onto the main road and head back to the start.

🗣 WALK LEADERS: Julia Doherty

Please arrive by 6.15 pm we will set off at 6.30 pm sharp. If this is your first walk then please seek out the walk leader who will be wearing a red walk leader badge.

🐶 Is this a dog-friendly walk? Yes

❓ ROUND-ROBIN QUESTION: What is your favourite cold drink?

Note: we often meet in places where there is no postcode, so we encourage you to use the What3Words app which will take you to the exact location.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

  • A torch (please no head torches as they tend to blind people). We recommend THIS torch if you do not already have one.
  • P lease also wear bright clothing (hig his or a runners strip, arm lights or something similar) – safety first.
  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).
  • A drink.

⛑ RULES TO KEEP YOU SAFE :

  • We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. You will be notified by email, but we will also update the Facebook event if we need to cancel a walk.
  • We will only ever walk in groups of 15 or less. If we have more than 15, we will have two walk leaders and walk in opposite directions.
  • Sweets at the halfway stage – we call this “squidge and dip” – hand sanitiser, then dip in for your free sweets. If we have furry friends, then we also have “treats” at the halfway stage.
