December 17, 2019 @ 9:45 am - 2:00 pm GMT

Note, please arrive by 9.45am we will set off at 10 am sharp.

MEETING PLACE: In the Swan Pub Car Park (we will pop in for a bite afterwards).

ABOUT THE WALK – grade:  Moderate Route

After walking this route (check out the scope walk video below), it is quite a challenging route. There are no hills, but we do climb lots of stiles, which is difficult for larger dogs. We also cross fields of sheep, cows and horses and one field of alpacas! The villages that we pass through are lovely and very “English” with their village greens, thatched cottages and strange-looking old cars in the gardens. The views are brilliant and I guarantee that you will want to stop and take a few photos.

Due to the length of this walk, I expect to be back at the pub car park by 1.30pm (ish). We will stop for numerous breaks on route.

  • A good torch (no head torches please as they tend to blind people!)

  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).

  • Hi-vis vests are now back.  Please make sure you have a reflective jacket /vest/armband (essential on all winter hikes).  If you don't have one, then we have plenty of spares that you can borrow for the evening.

  • A drink and snacks.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No.  Just bring yourself and then tell the organisers your name when you arrive.  We will then check you in.
