October 7, 2019 @ 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm BST

Note, please arrive by 6.15pm we will set off at 6.30pm sharp.

MEETING PLACE: In the church car park.

FAST GROUP WALK LEADER: Julia Doherty – we will be walking through the woods and down to the lake – approx just over 3 miles.

REGULAR GROUP WALK LEADER: Rachel Mumford – who will be walking a shorter route of approximately 2.6 miles and will not include the woods.

ABOUT THE WALK – grade:  Easy

This delightful walk will take you through local quaint villages, we cross a golf course and visit a church. The route is not challenging and we even follow a thin paved footpath through the fields. We encompass sheep, cows and wooded areas (dogs on a lead please). Thatched cottages and monuments.

For those of you who are interested, we will probably grab a drink at the Fox and Hounds Pub at the end of the walk. Everyone is free to join us.

  • A good torch (no head torches please as they tend to blind people!)

  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).

  • Hi-vis vests are now back.  Please make sure you have a reflective jacket /vest/armband (essential on all winter hikes).  If you don't have one, then we have plenty of spares that you can borrow for the evening.

  • A drink and snacks.
