DAVENTRY WINTER WALK | NORTHANTS WALK | 3 MILES (4.8 KM) | EASY ROUTE

September 24, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm BST

Julia and Rachel are this week's walk leaders

WALK LEADERS:  Julia & Rachel.

MEETING PLACE:

Eastern Way Car Park (just behind the iCon Centre) – no charge for parking(Note, please arrive by 6.20pm, we will set off at 6.30pm)

ABOUT THE WALK – grade: EASY

Starting from iCon Centre Car Park (official name is the Eastern Way Car Park), we will walk the same route as parkrun.  We will take a stroll along the old railway line (which is well lit) but then we will walk down a slope and into the country park.  We will follow the curve of the lake, which includes a mix of terrain (woods, bridges, and open land).  You will hopefully see some wildlife, but I advise to take a torch with you as the nights are drawing in.

AFTER THE EVENT

Rachel and Julia have to dash straight after this event, but if you wanted to have a drink then I suggest the Queen of Hearts pub or Middlemore Pub are both good choices.

Download your FREE loyalty card from here.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

  • Your Adventure Geek Loyalty Card (download your free card from here)
  • Good trainers or walking shoes (and other clothes of course!).
  • Torch – please try to avoid a head torch as we tend to blind each other when chatting.  I suggest a chest torch or a hand torch.
  • It's just over 3 miles, so please bring a bottle of water
  • Money for a drink in the pub afterwards
